Dear Guests,
We present below the "service charter" of the Agriturismo Il Filo di Paglia, to provide you with the information that will allow you to make the best use of the services we can offer you and to guarantee you a happy and informed stay.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast (Italian tradition) is served in the restaurant between 8 and 10 am.
The price is € 7.5 per person (included in the price for those who sleep in the rooms; excluded for those who sleep in the apartment).
Breakfast is based on:
-slices of fresh homemade bread with homeodynamic organic flour and sourdough;
-selection of fruit-based jams from our organic farm;
-cake of the day, with homeodynamic flours and organic brown sugar;
-fresh milk;
-organic butter;
-organic yoghurt from Val di Vara;
-organic cereals;
-coffee, tea, cocoa;
-organic juices on request;
-herbal tea on request, after talking with Simone.
On request we can offer a savory breakfast, at the price of 10 €.
This includes what was previously written (excluding cake and jams), Parma ham and caciotta.
If you like a sweet and savory breakfast, the cost will be 15 euros.
RESTAURANT
The farmhouse restaurant is open upon reservation and dinner is served from 8.00 pm unless previously agreed.
The internal customers of the farmhouse can take advantage of the Restaurant Service for dinners, booking by 4 pm of the same day.
There is the possibility to choose between a Tasting Menu for 80 euros per couple (with a choice of meat or vegetarian courses), different every evening, or the "FILO DI PAGLIA" SPECIALS.
The desserts are in a separate section.
The menus vary according to the season and the offer of the vegetable gardens and cows.
The dishes are prepared with:
-Farm vegetables and fruits grown with natural method;
-Organic and Biodynamic Flours of Soft Wheat, Durum Wheat and Corn;
-Tuscan organic extra virgin olive oil from the Salvadori “Armoniolo” family;
-Organic sunflower and sesame seed oil "Organoil";
-Organic cane sugar from Thailand;
-FRESH and DAILY MILKED MILK;
-Km0 Organic Butter or, failing that, of the Coop;
-Farm meat from Jersey and Cabannini cattle (Slow Food Presidium) raised with certified organic hay and organic barley pellets;
-Hens and Black Roosters from Val di Vara bred with horticultural waste and GMO-free feed;
-Farm eggs or Coop organic eggs (during the natural rest periods);
-Farm raw milk cheeses;
-The bread is handmade with sourdough;
-The fresh pasta and desserts are made by hand.
All dishes are wood-fired even in summer, to rediscover the flavors of the past.
The restaurant boasts a large cellar of only NATURAL WINES.

SHOP
In the shop it is possible to buy transformed farm products:
Meat, salami, cheese, jams, compotes, vegetable preserves, honey, Thai fermented products.
On request also seasonal vegetables and fruit.
CHECK IN and CHECK OUT
Check in: between 4 pm and 10 pm
Early check in: on request
Check out: till 10.30 am
Late check out: on request. Beyond 12 am an extra night will be charged.
RESERVATION
There is the possibility to book through the special booking panel, located at the top, under the "BOOKING" button.
RESERVATION CONFIRMATION
The reservation is confirmed upon receipt of the deposit equivalent to 50% of the total amount. From the moment the booking is accepted, in the event of cancellation by the customer, the following cancellation penalties will be applied (unless otherwise agreed):
PENALTIES AND CANCELLATIONS DURING THE PERIOD
- up to 30 days from arrival: no penalty; everything will be returned;
- from 29 to 15 days of arrival: 50% of the total booking is retained;
-from 15 days to the day of arrival: 100% of the total reservation is retained. Delayed arrival and early departure, communicated during this period, do not give the right to any refund.
The balance of the stay will be paid on the day of arrival, while that of any dinners the same evening. Payment is required in cash or ATM.
BALANCE
The balance will be paid upon arrival, after having viewed the room and handed over the documents for registration.
EARLY DEPARTURE
In the case of an early departure the deposit will be withheld and the total amount of the booked stay must be paid.
PARKING AREA
We have a large unattended outdoor parking, where there are no particular risks, but we still recommend that you lock the cars.
ARRIVAL
Upon arrival, each guest will be accompanied to their room. Subsequently, please report to the Reception for the delivery of an identity document and the balance of the stay.
KEYS
The keys of the room and of the external gate will be issued by the Reception upon arrival and can be held until the moment of departure in order to return independently and at any time.
A deposit of 50 euros is required for the state of the room and for the keys, which will be returned upon return of the same.
The management is not responsible for the theft or loss of objects left unattended inside the structure.
REASSEMBLY OF THE ROOMS
The rearrangement of the room will be made on request and if the room is vacated by 10.30 in the morning.
The replacement of towels will be made every 3 days (excluding departure and arrival day).
We ask you to leave the towels on the floor when you want them to be replaced.
The change of sheets will be done weekly.
DOGS AND CATS
Access for dogs and cats in the rooms is allowed only where there is no parquet flooring.
The additional cost is 15 euros.
WHAT TO DO WITHIN THE BORDERS OF THE FARM
The boundaries of the farmhouse are marked by a fence with wooden poles and wire mesh. In some areas there is also an electric fence (BE VERY CAREFUL), barbed and with electro-welded nets to contain farm animals and protect from wild animals.
Inside the external enclosure, you are free to:
-walk in our hazelnut, oak and chestnut woods;
-visit the vegetable gardens, divided between monocultures, greenhouses with synergistic method, pallets covered with corn cloth and mulch, synergistic vegetable garden etc;
-visit the orchard, where there are notable ancient varieties of fruit;
-visit the olive grove, paying attention to the steepness of the land;
-visit the wetlands where the Ululone frog is present, a breed of considerable interest, being a biological marker indicating considerable biodiversity and very low atmospheric pollution. There are areas reserved for them;
-visit the shelter of the cows, where they like to stop to rest from the summer heat, when they are not grazing
-visit the fenced area of the hens;
- stop and relax in the relaxation areas, pergolas or not, on the comfortable deck chairs, surrounded by greenery and vineyards.
Within the confines of the farmhouse, in case of personal injury, the structure has a dedicated insurance.
INTERNET
You can connect to the internet. Wi-Fi is free and available on the restaurant and terrace floors from 8 am to 11 pm. It is always off at night. Ask for the password at the reception.
SEPARATE WASTE COLLECTION
The farmhouse carries out separate waste collection.
Guests are asked to use the special containers placed outside the doors and in the parking lot of the farmhouse.
LAUNDRY SERVICE
In case of long-term stays (over 5 days), the farmhouse offers a free laundry service for your clothes and provides you with a drying rack for drying them.
FOR THE RESPECT OF ALL
- We invite you to adopt a respectful behavior for the peace and relaxation of the other guests;
- the guest is required to respect the rooms, equipment and furnishings found in the farmhouse;
- it is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the rooms;
- it is forbidden to use extra heating appliances and open flames in the rooms;
-it is forbidden to eat in the rooms of the straw house;
- it is forbidden to introduce uneducated animals (due to the presence of parquet) inside the rooms of the straw house;
- it is forbidden to harass and disturb the dogs and other farm animals;
- it is advisable to avoid approaching dogs at night, as they are used to guarding.
-please avoid disturbing noises between 2 pm and 4 pm and between 11 pm and 7.30 am.
- please be respectful of the environment and minimize waste of water and light;
- please be particularly careful with drinks in the room, as the parquet is waterproofed with natural products and not resistant to corrosive acids (for example Coca Cola and sugary drinks).
Processing of Personal Data
Personal data and any other element learned by our Company during the course of the assignment will be subject to a bond of secrecy and will be treated in compliance with the confidentiality and rights of the person through the systematic application by us of specific protection measures. and guarantees prepared for both paper and electronic data processing and measured according to the specificity of the data itself (simple personal data or sensitive or judicial data). Pursuant to and for the purposes of Legislative Decree 196/03, the Customer is informed that his personal data will be processed only for the purposes determined by the contractual relationship for these purposes (including accounting and administrative purposes).
